Hurricanes re-sign forward Jordan Martinook to three-year deal

The Carolina Hurricanes are bringing back one of their leaders.

Carolina re-signed alternate captain Jordan Martinook to a three-year, $9.15 million deal on Monday, Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman reported.

The deal will carry an AAV of $3.05 million.

Martinook recorded 14 goals and 18 assists in 82 games last season.

He was originally drafted by the Arizona Coyotes in the 2012 NHL Draft, but has spent the past six seasons in Carolina.
