The Carolina Hurricanes will be without defenceman Shayne Gostisbehere when they host the New Jersey Devils on Saturday night.
Gostisbehere was ruled out by the team shortly before puck drop with an upper-body injury.
The 31-year-old has been a steady presence on Carolina's blueline this season, averaging 19 minutes of ice time over each of the team's 35 games. Gostisbehere has six goals, 27 points and 27 blocked shots.
After spending 23 games with Carolina in the 2022-23 season, Gostisbehere left in free agency last season, but returned to the Hurricanes on a three-year, $9.6-million contract on July 1.
The Hurricanes enter play Saturday with a 21-13-1 record, sitting third in the Metropolitan Division.
