Toronto Maple Leafs star centre Auston Matthews and defenceman Jake Muzzin will remain out with undisclosed injuries for Thursday's game against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Matthews will miss his third game in a row, while Muzzin will sit out for the fifth time in six games.
On the Lightning side, star centre Brayden Point will be out of action. He's day-to-day with a lower-body injury, the team announced.
The Leafs are eight points ahead of Tampa in the race for second in the Atlantic Division.
Meanwhile, the Leafs say they will start Erik Kallgren in net versus Tampa, with Jack Campbell getting the nod Saturday in Florida against the Panthers.
