The New York Islanders will be without Anthony Duclair for the next month or so.
The team announced Thursday that he's dealing with a lower-body injury and is expected to miss four to six weeks as a result.
The winger sustained the injury in the third period of last Saturday's 4-3 shootout win over the Montreal Canadiens.
For the Islanders this season, the 29-year-old has recorded two goals and one assist in five games after inking a four-year, $14 million contract on July 1.
For the San Jose Sharks and Tampa Bay Lightning last season, the forward tallied 24 combined goals and 42 points in 73 outings.
Duclair was selected by the New York Rangers in the third round of the 2012 draft and has scored 148 goals in 568 career games.
