The New York Islanders have claimed defenceman Adam Boqvist on waivers, Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman reports.
In 18 games this season, the 24-year-old has two goals and six points for the Panthers.
Boqvist joined Florida this past off-season on a one-year $775,000 deal.
The Islanders have been banged up on the blue line this season with Noah Dobson, Ryan Pulock, and Mike Reilly sidelined with long-term injuries
