Simon Holmstrom is staying on Long Island.
The New York Islanders re-signed the forward to a one-year deal, the team announced on Tuesday. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.
Holmstrom, 23, had 15 goals and 10 assists in 75 games with the Islanders last season. Five of his goals were shorthanded which ranked second overall in the NHL.
The six-foot-two forward was picked 23rd overall by the Islanders in the 2019 NHL Draft.
