The New York Islanders have signed forward Oliver Wahlstrom to a one-year contract, the club announced Monday.
Wahlstrom was drafted by the Islanders in the first round (11th overall) of the 2018 NHL Draft.
Over 161 career games with the club, the 23-year-old has recorded 32 goals and 29 assists for 61 points. Wahlstrom had 16 points (seven goals and nine assists) in 35 games over the 2022-23 campaign, which ended early for him after he suffered a season-ending lower-body injury in December.
