Islanders sign winger Zach Parise to one-year extension

Winger Zach Parise has signed a one-year extension with the New York Islanders.

The 37-year-old Parise has eight goals and 16 assists in 60 games this season.

Parise originally signed with the Islanders before this season after his contract was bought out by the Minnesota Wild.

The Minneapolis native has 401 goals and 433 assists in 1,120 career NHL games.
