The Toronto Maple Leafs will have Jack Campbell and Jake Muzzin back on the ice when they take on the Washington Capitals Thursday night.
Campbell was confirmed as the starter after he occupied the home net during morning skate and will return to the net after missing the last two games. Maple Leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe said Campbell was “a little bit below 100 per cent” after playing a pair of games in his return from a rib injury.
Muzzin also missed Tuesday's game with an ailment that was not related to his recent concussion. He skated on a defensive pairing with T.J. Brodie with Justin Holl, looking like the odd man out of the lineup.
Jason Spezza and Nick Abruzzese skated as extras, which means they likely draw out of the lineup with Kyle Clifford and Wayne Simmonds skating on the fourth line with Colin Blackwell.
