Leave it to Jaromir Jagr to both applaud and chirp Jason Zucker following the Pittsburgh Penguins forward's tribute celebration Wednesday night.
Zucker fired home a one-timer to open the scoring against the Buffalo Sabres and broke out the "salute" celly made famous by the NHL legend.
Wearing a 1990s-era Penguins jersey, Jagr shared his thoughts on social media Thursday.
"I was reading some comments. Some people like it, some people don't, I love it," Jagr said.
"And I feel like it showed a lot of respect for our era, for our team, because we also had a lot of great players."
Jagr thanked the Penguins and Zucker before adding: "Keep working on your shot because it wasn't hard enough."
The 50-year-old Jagr, who scored 766 goals during his illustrious NHL career, then closed out the video by delivering a salute of his own.
