Winnipeg Jets star winger Kyle Connor left Sunday's game against the Anaheim Ducks after taking a knee-on-knee hit from Ryan Strome.
The team subsequently announced he suffered a lower-body injury.
The hit occurred less than a minute into the second period, and Connor immediately looked to be in pain, struggling to put any weight on his right leg. He had to be helped off the ice and down the tunnel.
Teammate Mark Scheifele dropped the gloves with Strome, who received a five-minute major on the play, as well as a game misconduct.
After the Jets' win, coach Rick Bowness told reporters he had no further update on Connor, per Scott Billeck of the Winnipeg Sun.
Connor, 27, has 28 points (17 goals and 11 assists) in 26 games. He is tied for the team scoring lead with Mark Scheifele.
