Winnipeg Jets defenceman Tucker Poolman and Tampa Bay Lightning goaltender Curtis McElhinney were added to the NHL’s COVID-19 list Saturday.
Players on the list have not necessarily tested positive for the coronavirus, but are being kept away from the rest of the team out of precaution.
The Jets announced Saturday morning that practice had been cancelled due to a potential exposure to COVID-19. Poolman was not named in the team’s statement.
The NHL updates the COVID-19 list for all 31 teams daily. On Saturday, the Avalanche’s Erik Johnson, the Red Wings’ Darren Helm, the Rangers’ Justin Richards and the Sharks’ Max Letunov were removed from the list.
