Jets' Hellebuyck misses Kraken game with illness, DeMelo returns to lineup

Winnipeg Jets goalie Connor Hellebuyck has been listed as out for Tuesday's game against the Seattle Kraken due to an illness and David Rittich is starting between the pipes according to head coach Rick Bowness.

Hellebuyck is coming off a 31-save performance in a win against the Chicago Blackhawks on Saturday. So far this season, the all-star goalie has 25 wins in 41 games played with 2.41 goals-against average and 92.4 save percentage.

On the bench as the backup goalie will be Arvid Holm who was recalled from the Manitoba Moose earlier on Tuesday.

In other moves, defenceman Dylan DeMelo has been activated from the injured reserve and forward Axel Jonsson-Fjällby was reassigned to Manitoba.

DeMelo has been out since Jan. 26, a three-game absence, with a lower-body injury. In 46 games this year he has two goals and 16 points.

Jonsson-Fjällby has four goals and 11 points this season.
