The Winnipeg Jets' top defenceman has an injury concern.
Josh Morrissey wasn't on the bench to start the third period after he lost his footing and crashed into the post of Winnipeg's net on Tuesday during the second period against the Nashville Predators.
Morrissey did return later in the second period after leaving the ice slowly following the injury, but then remained in the locker room to open the third.
After the Jets' win, coach Scott Arniel said Morrissey suffered a lower-body injury and will be re-evaluated Wednesday.
Morrissey is fourth among all NHL defencemen in scoring with four goals and 33 assists in 42 games.
Winnipeg is running short on defencemen. Haydn Fleury, Colin Miller and Dylan Samberg are also out with injuries.
The Calgary native, 29, was picked 13th overall by the Jets in the 2013 NHL Draft.
