Winnipeg Jets forward Rasmus Kupari will be out four to six weeks with a shoulder injury, interim head coach Scott Arniel told reporters on Wednesday.
Kupari was injured in the Jets' Tuesday win over the New Jersey Devils, when he fell awkwardly into the boards in the first period. He did not return to the game.
In 14 games this season, Kupari has an assist while averaging 9:34 of ice time per game.
In a corresponding move, the Jets recalled forward Axel Jonsson-Fjallby from AHL Manitoba on emergency conditions.
