The Winnipeg Jets are sending some reinforcements back to the AHL.
On Thursday, the team announced they loaned defenceman Dylan Coghlan and forward Nikita Chibrikov to the Manitoba Moose, the Jets' AHL affiliate.
Coghlan, 26, was placed on waivers Wednesday to make space for Nikolaj Ehlers to return. He played one game with the big club this season, Nov. 29th against the Vegas Golden Knights. Across his career, he's played 107 NHL games with six goals and 22 total points.
Chibrikov, 21, played four games during his time with the Jets this season, scoring two goals and registering one assist for a plus-one rating. Prior to the start of training camp, Chibrikov was fourth in the Jets' top prospect ranks by NHL.com. He was selected 50th overall at the 2021 Draft and spent the entire 2023-24 season developing with the Moose.
