The Winnipeg Jets lost a player on Monday when Declan Chisholm was claimed off waivers by the Minnesota Wild.
The defenceman had been with the Jets since Nov. 26 after a conditioning stint in the American Hockey League, but had been a healthy scratch in Winnipeg's last 23 games. The 24-year-old had played in just two games with the Jets this season, grabbing an assist and blocking a pair of shots.
The Bowmanville, Ont., native had appeared in just four NHL games since 2021 after being rafted by the Jets in the fifth round (150th overall) in 2018. He has five assists in six games with the Manitoba Moose this season.
In other waiver news around the league, the Seattle Kraken placed Devin Shore on waivers with the intent to reassign him to the AHL and Montreal Canadiens defenceman Nicolas Beaudin officially cleared waivers and had his contract terminated.
