The Winnipeg Jets will be without Mark Scheifele for the remainder of Thursday's game against the Chicago Blackhawks after the centre was forced to leave with a lower-body injury.
Scheifele left after his first shift of the second period, but it's unclear what led to his injury. He went down the tunnel and looked to be in discomfort as he exited.
Following the game, Jets head coach Rick Bowness said that he didn't have an update on Scheifele and that he will be re-evaluated on Friday.
The 30-year-old has scored 14 goals and 41 points in 40 games for the Jets this season.
