After he played just 2:23 in the first period of Tuesday's game against the Seattle Kraken, the Winnipeg Jets ruled forward Morgan Barron out for the remainder of the contest.
Winnipeg announced that Barron would not return to the game with a lower-body injury.
Barron appeared to suffer the injury during an awkward fall into the side boards in the first period.
Barron has tallied 18 points and scored a career-high 11 goals over 79 games this season for the Jets.
After tonight's game against Seattle, Winnipeg will wrap up its regular season on Thursday against the Vancouver Canucks. The Jets already know their post-season opponent as they are slated to play the Colorado Avalanche in the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Winnipeg entered the game with one point more than the Avalanche, so home-ice advantage is still up for grabs.
