The Winnipeg Jets have put forward Daniel Torgersson on unconditional waivers for the purpose of terminating his contract, the team announced Saturday.
Torgersson, who has yet to make his NHL debut, was drafted in the second round, 40th overall, by the Jets in 2020.
The 22-year-old from Hono, Sweden, has spent the past four years with the Manitoba Moose of the American Hockey League.
Torgersson posted a career-high 11 goals and 20 points in 69 games with the Moose during the 2022-23 season. He recorded zero points through 12 games this season.
