The Winnipeg Jets have placed rookie forward Cole Perfetti on injured reserve with an upper-body injury.
Perfetti was hurt after a hit from Seattle Kraken defenceman Jamie Oleksiak in a game last Thursday. On Friday, head coach Dave Lowry said the injury was more than day-to-day and Perfetti was not in the lineup for Saturday’s loss to the Edmonton Oilers.
The 20-year-old Perfetti has two goals and seven points in 18 games this season.

In a corresponding move, the Jets activated defenceman Nathan Beaulieu and newly acquired forward Adam Brooks from injured reserve Monday.
Beaulieu has been limited to just four games in 2022 due to about with COVID-19 and a lower-body injury. He last played Jan. 27 and has appeared in 19 games this season.
Brooks was claimed off waivers from the Maple Leafs on Saturday and had been dealing with an undisclosed injury since late January. He has three points in 11 NHL games with the Vegas Golden Knights and Montreal Canadiens this season.
