The Winnipeg Jets have signed free agent defenceman Kyle Capobianco to a two-year contract, the team announced on Thursday. The deal is worth $1.525 million and carries an average annual value of $762,500.
The 24-year-old has spent the entirety of his six-year professional career with the Arizona Coyotes organization, split between the NHL team and the Tuscon Roadrunners, the Coyotes' AHL affiliate.
In 45 games with the Coyotes last season, he scored two goals and tallied nine points with 38 penalty minutes. He has appeared in 59 NHL games with the Coyotes where he accrued 10 points.
With the Roadrunners, he notched 112 points in 155 games and was selected to the AHL All-Star game in 2019 and 2020.
