The Winnipeg Jets have signed forward Mason Appleton to a two-year contract with an average annual value of $900,000.
Appleton, 24, had five goals and three assists in 46 games with the Jets this past season. He also made his Stanley Cup Playoff debut on Aug. 1 in Winnipeg’s qualifying-round series against the Calgary Flames.
Appleton was selected by the Jets in the sixth round (168th overall) in the 2015 NHL Draft.
