The Winnipeg Jets have signed forward Nino Niederreiter to a three-year, $12 million extension, the club announced Monday.
Niederreiter, 31, has six goals and eight assists in 23 games with the Jets this season.
The Jets acquired the Swiss native in a trade with the Nashville Predators in February.
The six-foot-two Niederreiter has 211 goals and 212 assists for 423 career points with the New York Islanders, Minnesota Wild, Carolina Hurricanes, Predators and Jets.
The Islanders selected Niederreiter fifth overall in the 2010 NHL Draft.
Internationally, Niederreiter has represented Switzerland multiple times at the world junior championship and world championship. He also played for Europe at the 2016 World Cup.
