If the lines being run at the morning skate are any indication, the Toronto Maple Leafs will be running out a familiar set of lines for their big clash against the high-flying Edmonton Oilers on Tuesday.
As reported by Sportsnet's Luke Fox, Matthew Knies and Tyler Bertuzzi, who have been up and down the lineup of late, are returning to their usual spots. Knies is projected to line up with captain John Tavares and William Nylander, while Bertuzzi returns to his more typical third-line role with Max Domi and Calle Jarnkrok.
In addition, veteran defenceman Mark Giordano, who sat out the Leafs game against the Detroit Red Wings on Sunday, returns to the lineup.
And all indications are that Martin Jones is expected to start in net, coming off the loss to the Red Wings in which Ilya Samsonov looked solid in his return to the NHL after a stint with the Toronto Marlies, where he did not play.
Action between the Oilers and Maple Leafs can be seen Tuesday, 9 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. MT on Sportsnet West and Sportsnet+.
