Adrian Kempe and Jacob Moverare's third-period goals led the Los Angeles Kings to a 3-2 win over the Arizona Coyotes in the second-ever NHL game to be played in the Southern Hemisphere.
The two teams also squared off at Melbourne's Rod Laver Arena on Friday as part of the NHL's Global Series. The Coyotes took home a 5-3 win in the first game.
13,118 fans were in attendance on Saturday, as there were sellout crowds at both games.
Arizona's Barrett Hayton opened the game's scoring with a power-play goal midway through the first period.
Chances were few and far between in the second period and the Coyotes entered the third with a 1-0 lead.
Their advantage wouldn't last long, as Kempe finally got the Kings on the board 51 seconds into the third period, and then Moverare buried the go-ahead goal seven minutes later.
Kempe scored an empty netter for his second of the night that would end up being the game-winner.
Travis Dermott added a late goal for Arizona with just 17 seconds remaining, but it was too little, too late for the Coyotes.
The NHL pre-season schedule kicks into high gear on Sunday with 11 games on the schedule.
