Los Angeles Kings defenceman Drew Doughty has entered the NHL’s COVID-19 protocol.
Doughty joins a lengthy list of players who were added to protocols over the last few days. Los Angeles is scheduled to play against the Florida Panthers, who had only 13 skaters and two goalies at morning skate, on Thursday.
The 32-year-old Doughty has been limited to 11 games this season after suffering a knee injury. The Kings are also without defencemen Mikey Anderson, Alexander Edler and Sean Walker.
The Kings also played forward Andreas Athanasiou on injured reserve retroactive to Dec. 14. He was injured in Tuesday’s game against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
