The Los Angeles Kings and Nashville Predators are working on a trade involving forward Viktor Arvidsson, according to Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman.
Further details around a potential deal are not known at this time but Friedman reports clarity is expected at some point on Thursday.
Arvidsson, 28, has three years remaining on a seven-year, $29.75-million contract he signed with the Predators in July 2017 that carries a cap hit of $4.25 million.
The Skellefteå, Sweden native broke out with Nashville during the 2016-17 campaign, scoring 31 goals and recording 61 points in 80 games, and notched at least 29 goals in the each of the next two seasons, including 34 in 58 games in 2018-19.
Arvidsson found the back of the net 10 times in 50 games during the shortened 2020-21 season, adding 15 assists.
