Los Angeles Kings top prospect Quinton Byfield will make his NHL debut on Wednesday night against the Anaheim Ducks.
Byfield, who was the second overall pick in the 2020 NHL Draft, was able to play in the AHL this season due to the OHL’s cancelled campaign and had instant success at the pro level — scoring eight goals and 20 points in 30 games.
Last season with the OHL’s Sudbury Wolves, Byfield had 32 goals and 82 points in 45 games.
The Kings enter play Wednesday with an 18-22-6 record and 10 games remaining on the season.
