The Los Angeles Kings re-signed defenceman Mikey Anderson to a one-year contract worth $1 million on Saturday.
Anderson, who was a restricted free agent, averaged over 20 minutes of ice time with the Kings during the 2021-22 campaign and registered eight points (two goals and six assists) in 57 games in the regular season. He also added one assist in seven playoff games.
The 23-year-old from Roseville, Minn., was drafted in the fourth round, 103rd overall, by the Kings in 2017. He has played 117 games and recorded 20 points (four goals and 16 assists) during his three seasons in Los Angeles.
The Kings finished third in the Pacific Division last season and were eliminated by the Edmonton Oilers in seven games during the first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs.
