The Los Angeles Kings have signed defenceman Caleb Jones to a one-year, two-way contract, the team announced Friday.
The deal is worth $775,000 at the NHL level.
Jones had five assists in 25 games with the Colorado Avalanche this past season. He also appeared in three playoff games.
The 27-year-old was drafted in the fourth round, 117th overall, by the Edmonton Oilers in 2015.
Jones has tallied 55 points (14 goals and 41 assists) in 242 career games with the Oilers, Chicago Blackhawks and Avalanche.
He is the son of former NBA player Popeye Jones and the younger brother of Blackhawks defenceman Seth Jones.
