The Seattle Kraken have signed depth forward Alexander True to a one-year, two-way contract.
The Kraken selected True, who was a restricted free agent, from the San Jose Sharks in the expansion draft.
The six-foot-five centre will earn $700,000 at the NHL level on his new contract.
True has split time with the Sharks and AHL’s San Jose Barracuda over the past two seasons. In 19 career NHL games, he has five assists. In 203 AHL games over four seasons, he has 59 goals and 128 points.
