The Seattle Kraken have agreed to a two-year, two-way deal with centre Mitchell Stephens, with an average annual value of $775,000, the team announced on Monday.
Stephens, 27, split the 2023-24 season between the Montreal Canadians and their AHL affiliate, Laval Rocket.
The former 33rd-overall pick in 2015 made 23 appearances for the Habs last season, logging two goals and an assist. With the Rockets, Stephens got on the ice on 49 different occasions, ending the season with 35 points (13 goals, 22 assists) and a plus-eight rating (third-best on Laval).
Stephens ranked sixth on the Rockets for points, goals and assists last season.
