The Seattle Kraken have placed top centre Matty Beniers on injured reserve with an undisclosed injury.
Beniers was injured in Saturday's win against the Columbus Blue Jackets. He didn't play in the third period of that game and missed Monday's loss to the Penguins.
Beniers is the reigning Calder Trophy winner but has gotten off to a slower start this season. In 42 games this season he has six goals and 19 points.
In a corresponding move, the Kraken recalled forward John Hayden from AHL Coachella Valley Firebirds. He has two goals in seven games with Seattle this season.
