The Seattle Kraken have re-signed forward John Hayden to a one-year, $775,000 contract, the team announced Sunday.
It's the third consecutive time Hayden has signed a one-year pact with the club.
Hayden appeared in two games with the Kraken this past season.
The 29-year-old from Chicago primarily played with the Coachella Valley Firebirds of the American Hockey League and had 15 goals and 26 points in 65 games.
He also had nine goals and 13 points in 18 playoff games as the Firebirds finished runners-up to the Hershey Bears in the Calder Cup Final.
Hayden was drafted in the third round, 74th overall, by his hometown Chicago Blackhawks in 2013. He has 17 goals and 37 points in 249 games over eight seasons with the Blackhawks, New Jersey Devils, Arizona Coyotes, Buffalo Sabres and Kraken.
