With Joey Daccord out with an illness, the Kraken signed Michael Matyas to an amateur tryout agreement.
Matyas is serving as the backup for starter Philipp Grubauer.
The 32-year-old from Calgary played with the University of Alaska-Anchorage from 2012-15 and posted a 3-5-2 record, 3.44 goals against average and .870 save percentage over 14 games.
Seattle is sixth in the Pacific Division with a 13-14-1 record.
