The Seattle Kraken have signed forward Daniel Sprong to a one-year, two-way contract with a $750,000 NHL salary, the club announced Monday.
Sprong was with the Kraken on a professional tryout before signing the deal, and played 16 games in Seattle last season — scoring six goals.
The 25-year-old from the Netherlands has played 202 career NHL games with the Pittsburgh Penguins, Anaheim Ducks, Washington Capitals and Kraken organizations, totalling 46 goals and 24 assists.
The Kraken acquired Sprong, a fourth-round pick and sixth-round pick from the Capitals for Marcus Johansson at last season's NHL trade deadline.
