The Seattle Kraken inked netminder Ales Stezka to a one-year, two-way extension worth $775,000 on Sunday, the team announced.
Stezka, 27, appeared in 27 games with the Coachella Valley Firebirds, Seattle’s AHL affiliate, in 2023-24.
Stezka buoyed a .914 SV per cent with a 2.48 GAA during his stint in the AHL last season while registering a pair of shutouts on his stat line.
Prior to his arrival to the AHL, Stezka appeared in 85 games with HC Vitkovice in Czechia’s top flight of professional hockey, posting a .924 SV per cent in his second and final season with the club.
Stezka was selected in the fourth round of the 2015 NHL Draft by the Minnesota Wild.
