The Seattle Kraken have inked their 2023 second round pick, Oscar Fisker Mølgaard to a three-year, entry-level contract worth $950K AAV, the team reported on Friday.
The six-foot, 19-year-old centre has played the last two seasons in the Swedish Hockey League with HV71. In that time, he has steadily improved from seven points in 41 games, to most recently 21 points in 50 games — which put him third in points and second in assists amongst all U20 skaters in the SHL for the 2023-2024 season.
Fisker Mølgaard also represented Denmark, as an alternate captain, in the 2023-24 U20 D1A World Junior Championships, totalling five points in four games. Later, playing at the U20 WJC where he added four points in seven games on his way to a bronze medal for his country.
