Toronto Maple Leafs centre Ryan O'Reilly left Saturday's game against the Vancouver Canucks after getting hit in the left hand with a puck.
After blocking the shot while in the slot during the second period, O'Reilly left the game and did not return for the third.
Speaking to reporters after the game, head coach Sheldon Keefe said he had no update on the severity of the injury and expected a clearer timeline come Monday.
The Maple Leafs acquired the former St. Louis Blues captain in a trade on Feb. 19 as part of a deal that also saw the team receive Noel Acciari. O'Reilly, 32, has 15 goals and nine assists for 24 points in 47 games this season.
The Canucks ultimately won Saturday's game, 4-1.
