The Arizona Coyotes have traded veteran defenceman Matt Dumba to the Tampa Bay Lightning.
The Coyotes get a fifth-round pick in 2025, while the Lightning also acquire a seventh-round selection in 2027.
Dumba, 29, was one of the highly sought-after right-shot defencemen available on the market ahead of the deadline. He joined the Coyotes in free agency on a one-year, $3.9 million contract and will become an unrestricted free agent this summer.
The Regina native has 10 points in 58 games this season.
The Dumba deal is the second Lightning trade in as many days. They acquired winger Anthony Duclair from the San Jose Sharks on Thursday night.
