Tampa Bay Lightning head coach Jon Cooper has entered COVID protocol and will not be behind the bench for the team’s game against the Vegas Golden Knights on Tuesday.
Assistant Derek Lalonde will replace Cooper as the head coach for the game.
The Lightning (19-6-4) enter Tuesday night having won seven of their last eight games. The NHL postponed nine of 10 games scheduled with tonight’s game between Tampa and Vegas the only one that will be played before the league pause begins on Wednesday.
