The Tampa Bay Lightning will be without their star goaltender against the Chicago Blackhawks on Tuesday.
The team announced that Andrei Vasilevskiy will not play due to illness.
The 30-year-old netminder has a 2.34 goals-against average and .915 save percentage in 37 games played this season.
Vasilevskiy has started 37 of the Lightning's 49 games this season – tied for the second-most starts in the NHL – and has a 20-15-2 record.
With Vasilevskiy out, Tampa will have emergency backup goaltender Kyle Konin sitting on the bench.
The Lighting are currently fifth in the crowded Atlantic Division with a 26-19-3 record, and are 6-4-1 in games where Vasilevskiy has not played this season.
