The Tampa Bay Lightning re-signed left wing Cole Koepke to a one-year, two-way contract on Wednesday.
Koepke was slated to become a restricted free agent on July 1.
The 25-year-old from Two Harbors, Minn., scored his first career NHL goal on Nov. 13 against the Washington Capitals this season. It was the lone point for Koepke over 17 games during his rookie year with the Lightning.
He also had 19 points (seven goals and 12 assists) in 52 games with the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League.
Koepke was drafted in the sixth round, 183rd overall, by the Lightning in 2018.
