The Tampa Bay Lightning signed defenceman Nick Perbix to a two-year, $2.25 million contract extension on Monday.
Perbix, who made his NHL debut earlier this season, has eight points (three goals and five assists) in 29 games during his rookie year.
The 24-year-old from Elk River, Minn., was drafted in the sixth round, 169th overall, by Tampa Bay in 2017.
He signed a one-year, entry-level deal with the Lightning after representing the United States during the 2022 Winter Olympic Games in Beijing.
