Defenceman Darren Raddysh has signed a two-year, $1.95-million contract extension with the Tampa Bay Lightning, the team announced Wednesday.
The extension, worth an average annual value of $975,000, is set to begin with the 2024-25 season.
Raddysh, 27, played 17 games for Tampa Bay last season, making his 2022-23 debut March 2 against the Pittsburgh Penguins. The right-shot defenceman had a goal and three points in the regular season and a goal and an assist in the playoffs, averaging 25:13 time on ice against the Toronto Maple Leafs, second on the Lightning behind only Mikhail Sergachev.
In the AHL, Raddysh had 13 goals and 38 points for 51 points in 50 games with Syracuse, good for tied for third among all AHL defencemen in scoring.
Raddysh, a Toronto native and older brother of Lightning forward Taylor, went undrafted and was originally signed as a free agent by the Lightning on July 28, 2021.
