Tampa Bay Lightning defenceman Mikhail Sergachev left Tuesday's game against the St. Louis Blues with a lower-body injury and will not return, the team announced.
Sergachev was injured after blocking a shot from Blues defenceman Colton Parayko late in the first period, which appeared to hit him in the back of the leg. He remained on the ice, but skated gingerly to the bench shortly after.
Sergachev, 25, has two goals and 19 points in 32 games for the Lightning this season.
Originally a ninth-overall pick by the Montreal Canadiens at the 2016 NHL Draft, Sergachev was traded to the Lightning in 2017 as part of the package that sent Jonathan Drouin to Montreal.
