Tampa Bay Lightning captain Steven Stamkos missed Sunday's game against the Ottawa Senators with a lower-body injury.
The Lightning have listed the forward as day-to-day.
Stamkos, 33, has two goals and four points in two games so far this season. In 2022-23, he had 35 goals and 84 points in 81 games.
The native of Markham, Ontario is in his 16th season in the NHL, entirely with the Lightning. He was named captain in March of 2014, succeeding Martin St. Louis. Over those 16 seasons, he has scored 30-plus goals eight times, surpassing the 40 goal mark six times.
