The Los Angeles Kings are keeping around one of their veteran presences.
The team announced Monday that forward Trevor Lewis has re-signed with the team on a one-year contract worth $800,000.
The 32-year-old played in all 82 regular-season games with the Kings in 2023-24, recording 16 points (eight goals and eight assists). He also appeared in all five of the Oilers' playoff games before their first-round exit at the hands of the Edmonton Oilers.
Across 974 career NHL games split between the Kings, Winnipeg Jets and Calgary Flames, Lewis has a total of 225 points (98 goals and 127 assists).
A two-time Stanley Cup champion with the Kings in 2012 and 2014, Lewis was originally drafted by the team in the first round of the 2006 draft.
