Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe has been slapped with a $25,000 fine for "unprofessional conduct directed at officials" after he was thrown out of Tuesday's game against the Vegas Golden Knights, the league announced Thursday.
The 43-year-old bench boss was ejected from Tuesday's loss late in the third period after he began to argue with the on-ice officials about a penalty call on Maple Leafs' forward Mitch Marner.
When asked about the ejection after the game, Keefe declined to comment, saying he was "not going there."
The 6-2 loss ended the Maple Leafs' seven-game win streak.
